Common Questions
What can I expect during our first session?
Our first meeting is a gentle introduction. We will explore what brings you to therapy now, your goals for our time together, and begin mapping out the patterns you've noticed in your daily life. It is a collaborative space where your pace is always respected.
How long do I need to be in therapy?
Therapy is a highly individualized process. Some clients find clarity in a few months, while others prefer ongoing support for deeper processing. We will regularly check in on your progress and adjust our work to ensure it remains sustainable and effective for you.
Is telehealth as effective as in-person therapy?
Yes, research shows that telehealth can be just as impactful as sitting in a room together. Many of my clients find that being in their own comfortable, private space allows them to drop into the work more quickly and integrate our sessions into their daily lives with greater ease.
Do you offer faith-based counseling?
I respect the spiritual background of every client. If faith is a foundational part of your life and you wish to integrate it into our work, we certainly can. If not, it remains a neutral space focused entirely on your psychological and emotional well-being.
What are your fees and do you accept insurance?
I accept a range of insurance plans. If your plan is not covered, I also offer self-pay options, including a sliding scale and reduced rates when possible. For those using out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill for potential reimbursement. Payment is due at the time of each session and my current fee is $175 for a 53 minute session. I understand that cost matters, and I’m happy to talk through options so you can make a decision that feels manageable and transparent.
